House Subcommittee Releases FY 2012 Appropriations Bill – Numerous
NIFA Programs Cut or Eliminated
The
House Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee has just made public
the text of the FY 2012 Agriculture Appropriations bill that will be
considered by the subcommittee during its markup session tomorrow.
As you can see from the table that follows, the NIFA budget would be
cut by more than 16 percent, with Research and Education accounts
down $102.440 million, Extension programs down $67.932 million, and
Integrated Activities down $28.926 million.
